I have spent the last few days hearing my friends complain about how much they hated Batman v Superman and how they are not sure if they will go watch Suicide Squad because of it. I am a fan of movies, especially superhero movies, and a lover of comics so because of this combination I watched both films the day they came out.
I left the theater feeling weird about Batman v Superman and I couldn't make up my mind about it until I saw the Ultimate Edition and that's when I joined the ton of other people on Twitter who apologized to Zack Snyder because his film had been amazing and the studio had butchered it with its ugly cutting and editing.
The Ultimate Edition was the film that we were meant to see and if you haven't seen it, then I highly suggest you do. It might change your opinion on the movie.
I think that people are used to Marvel spoon feeding you everything as you watch the movie. They spell out everything for you so that you understand everything, which is good, I love their movies, but Batman v Superman wasn't that. It didn't spell everything out for you. You had to really understand the DC universe and really take the time to watch it to really appreciate everything that happened.
I was going to sit down here and explain it all but I don't know how to collect all of my thoughts and explain myself completely so I will leave a link to a CinemaWins video that does a perfect job explaining the movie and the brilliance behind it.
I just hope that Rotten Tomatoes and hearing people negatively comment about the DC movies will stop you from seeing Suicide Squad and the rest of the DC movies that are coming out. Both movies are far from being bad ones.
