Wolverine X Reader:

Being the beloved sister of the god of Thunder and the god of Mischief was not easy. Not only were they extremely protective over there 'little' sister (reminding them that you are over a millennium old does not help in the slightest) but they believed that they knew what was best for you and nothing you could say would convince them otherwise. And though you loved them both dearly, sometimes you wished you were worthy enough to lift Mjolnir so that you could retaliate against their everlasting need to protect you.

Not long had passed since you have been staying in Midgard and unlike your brother Loki, who had gained infamy throughout the mortal population, you were quiet popular.

"It is because of your beauty and caring nature, dear sister. You are something that they could never posses in their pathetic short mortal lives. A conquest is what you are to them. A trophy to exhibit. But fear not, gentle (Name), no mortal shall ever capture or lacerate your heart without passing through me first." Loki had promised.

You liked to think that it wasn't just your Asgardian beauty that drew in the wandering eyes of the mortals. As the goddess of Miracles, you enjoyed helping those who needed you the most and it disturbed you greatly when you noticed how fragile Midgardians were. They were so easily affected by diseases, their emotions were so easily influenced, even their land could be harmed by the effects of the mortals trying to build their future. So whenever you found yourself with extra time in your hands, which was often, and your brothers did not need you for anything, you would wander into the medical buildings they called 'hospitals' and cure as many people as you could. Sometimes you would visit strange little pieces of land where crops were grown called 'farms' and you would help their plants prosper (sometimes staying after to play with the wondrous little creatures Midgard housed).

This had earned you the trust of the humans, something that you were grateful for and treated as a delicate gift that could not be broken. What was most interesting to you was the people that you have been fortunate enough to meet.

Thor had introduced you to the Avengers months ago and you took the time to analyze them; noticing how different they were from one another but how similar they were as well. There was a warrior named Anthony Stark. He preferred to be called 'Tony' and enjoyed women, attention and showing off everything that he owned and could do. There was a man who wore red, white and blue armor who had been introduced to you as 'Spangles' only to find out that his real name was Steve Rogers (and that confused you a bit, to the amusement of Tony). He was polite, respectable and the very definition of a gentlemen not to mention a good fighter in battle. You noticed how they were all oddly different with their extraordinary abilities, such as the ones Dr. Banner possessed, and how they were strangely similar. All heroes, all with tough histories and backgrounds, all wanting to fight for the side of good.

You could easily see why Thor loved this realm so profoundly and why Loki had chosen this realm out of all the nine to rule.

But it was not until a few weeks ago, when you had been taken to a place of education where very talented youngsters were taught to control their powers and accept who they were, that you met him. He was called many things. Some preferred to call him The Wolverine, others called him Logan while his true identity was James Howlett. He was different from a lot of the males that you had met on Midgard and that really meant something considering all the men you met were remarkable. He was burdened with many things, that you could tell by just looking at him. He had lived longer than what a Midgardian is expected to live; the attribute of semi-immortality is given to him by his powers. You conversed with him when you met him. Something about him was just alluring. You wanted to talk to him and befriend the supposed 'feral beast' because you knew that he was much more than that.

"You must be careful of the people you befriend, my dear (Name)." Loki said one day.

"I agree with you, brother, but Wolverine has proven himself to be a very useful and respectable man." Thor commented.

"Respectable? With the kind of language he speaks and with the words said by his actions? He is a beast confined to the cage of a mortal's body."

"That is your opinion of him. I trust (Name) to know what she is doing as I trust The Wolverine not to harm my sister." Thor said with a grin as he looked over at you. "Who could ever harm such a gentle and cordial goddess such as (Name)."

"Many people," Loki glared. "But I will allow this 'friendship' to continue until the moment that he acts in any way that alerts me he means harm. Then I will end him."

You had grinned up at both of them, causing Loki's glare to waver as you kissed them both on the cheek before bidding them farewell.

Currently, you found yourself walking through the woods as the moonlight shined above you. You had found your way to the clearing easily and you were rewarded with the familiar sight of a glimmering lake acting as a ballroom for the fireflies who danced. This was the place you came to think when you wanted to. The area had at one point been polluted and bare but now it was lusciously green as wild flowers decorated the ground.

Your (favorite color) dress was pulled lightly by the wind making it appear as if you were floating in the air as you approached the water and watched the fireflies perform their show for you. Your fingers absently reached down towards the flowers, weaving them together as you thought about The Wolverine. How did he manage to bewitch you so easily? Was he even really trying? Out of all your years of existing, no man had ever captured your heart with just one look at you and a 'Hey, bub'. What was it about this man that made him so special to you? What did he hold that no other fearsome warrior in Asgard had?

"It's not safe for a girl to be wandering through the woods at night."

You turned to look at him and his heart couldn't help but skip a beat. You looked so beautiful as you sat in the ground with your (favorite color) dress carefully spread around you. The light from the moon bathed you in silver while the blinking lights from the lightning bugs gave you spots of gold. You looked elegant, graceful, delicate while he felt like a towering monster that just invaded your personal space. But he couldn't help it. The second your scent overwhelmed him, he knew you were close and he had come to you. This was something he didn't normally do and he wasn't exactly sure why he was acting this way either.

"Should the same be said for you?" You asked, taking another one of the flowers and weaving it in with the rest.

"Doubt a man's gonna come out of nowhere wanting me but who knows, might happen." He shrugged as he looked away from the personification of perfection in front of him to the scene around him. "You should be back in the city."

"I've always preferred this setting. Nature is plenty here whereas in the city there are only a few patches of land, though Central Park is most beautiful."

He offered a grunt as a signal that he heard you, whether he agreed or not you were not sure. Standing from your sitting position, you cautiously walked closer to him. He watched as you glided over to him with a grace equivalent to what an angel would have.

"What have you done, bub?" He asked as you neared. "How'd you get me under ya spell?"

"I could ask you the same," You offered as a reply. "You have utterly and wholly bewitched me to the point where I find myself craving your presence and hearing your voice. What I cannot understand is how? Are you a sorcerer?"

He snorted in humor but shook his head. "I don't deal with that magic nonsense."

"Then what is the cause of such strong feelings?" You asked.

"You ask as if I have the answer."

The battle was growing ever more difficult as more of the strange robotic enemies kept arriving. You felt the winds change as Mjolnir flew past you, destroying an entire row of the metal foes only for more to show up. Your (hair length) (hair color) hair was blown wildly in the wind as you fought with the oncoming threat. You perfectly executed them with grace and agility that only an Asgardian goddess could possess but your intelligence told you that if they kept arriving in such numbers, the heroes of Midgard, your brothers and yourself would be at their mercy.

"Ran out of arrows," You heard Warrior Hawkeye curse as he swung his bow to rip the head off of one of the enemies.

Behind you, you heard a roar as the big green monster Dr. Banner turned into pounded on the streets, destroying many robots at a time and causing the ground to shake and shatter under the weight of his powerful hands. Warrior Tony flew overhead, shooting beams of energy towards the robots causing them to explode in a cloud of smoke and fire. He continued to do this repetitively, enough that in a couple of seconds you couldn't see anything because the black smoke had covered you. Your eyes watered and you tried your best not to breathe in the smoke when you felt a hot, metallic hand grab your ankle and pull you to the floor.

Your sword had escaped your hand in the fall and the creature pulled you away from the rest until you were surrounded by the enemy. You could not expect your brothers to come to your aid, seeing as they were engrossed in battle. Survival was up to you. Summoning your sword, you engaged in battle with the one who dragged you; brutally stabbing the sword through it's chest and slamming it onto the floor with such force its limbs detached.

"Watch out," A growl came from behind you as you were suddenly pulled away from an oncoming attack by a pair of strong hands.

You watched as his claws sliced through their bodies as if they were made out of butter. After the group that had dragged you off was no longer existent, he turned to look at you. He was panting, face determinedly ready for battle and his eyes had changed color. His claws were out on either hand and just by looking at his stance you could feel the power he radiated just as you could feel the anger inside him.

"Yer alright?"

You nodded as a reply, feeling your mouth go dry as he looked away from you and rushed into battle with a new found strength. Such a simple action had left your heart beating faster than the winds of a hummingbird. You gripped your sword tightly and quickly did the same, joining the battle next to your brothers.

"Perhaps you could answer another one of my questions." You said as you looked up at him, into his infinite brown eyes. "It seems that we both share strong feelings for each other."

"Yes."

"Do you view them as positive or negative?"

Wolverine did not understand why he was forced to go to one of Tony's ridiculous parties. There were many reasons why Logan hated these sort of events; two of the main reasons being there were going to be obnoxious people and he had to wear a monkey suit. But as much as he hated it and complained, he still go dressed and join the members of the school that were also going to go to Tony's lame party.

"Welcome," A blonde lady greeted them at the entrance with a big smile. "I'm going to need all of your names, just to make sure you're on the guest list."

"Let them pass, Betty." Tony said as he walked by with a glass of scotch in his hand. "Good to see you're actually attending one of my awesome parties, kitty."

"It's Wolverine." Logan growled as he let out his claws on his right as as a threat to Tony to shut the hell up before he ripped his throat out.

But, of course, the egotistical genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist ignored Logan and rolled his eyes before saying something stupid like "Put away your claws, kitty," before walking off. Wolverine was about to go chase him and make him regret irritating him (sometimes he wondered how Bruce put up with his crap) when Storm stopped him and told him to calm down. Angrily, he fixed the jacket of his suit and followed them inside to the gigantic room where the party was being held. It didn't seem like another one of Tony's wild parties. This one was more refined. The dome like roof was decorated with paintings of angels, the long windows were framed by heavy velvet curtains, waiters walked around with trays of drinks. Not an everyday Tony Stark party but it was still filled with annoying people. He grabbed a glass of whatever liquor it was and went to the quietest corner he could find, drinking silently and willing the time to go fast so he could return to his home.

"Enjoying the festivities?" Your beautiful voice asked from behind him.

He had smelled your scent before he had even entered the building and had been trying his hardest to ignore it. But having you stand so close to him, your scent was overpowering; almost like if you were suffocating him but in the best way.

"Not really. I'd rather be anywhere else." Was his reply as he drank what was left of his drink.

It wasn't strong to his liking. Another thing he could add to what he didn't like about this party.

"Oh." Your voice was a bit disappointed.

He turned to look at you feeling his heart yet again skip a beat when he noticed how beautiful you looked. You were wearing Asgardian clothing, that was obvious. The expensive material complimented your skin beautifully and you were wearing a golden circlet. You looked like what you were. The Princess of Asgard. The goddess of Miracles.

It was a miracle that he was feeling the way that he was and he hated it. He felt like an idiot. You made him feel like an idiotic school boy who blushed when a pretty girl looked at him, though you were much more than just a pretty girl. You were intelligent, your soul was bright unlike his which was drowned in hatred and anger. He was not the man for you.

"What is it? What's so special about another one of Stark's parties, he throws on every month that annoying tin can."

"Today's festivities was to celebrate my date of birth." You said, surprising Logan."I apologize that you are not enjoying the celebration. Please, do not let anything keep you here if you wish to leave. I do not want my celebration to bore you."

Today was your birthday? He hadn't known that. If he had he wouldn't have told you he would rather be anywhere than here. He suddenly felt bad for being rude as he was but he didn't get a chance to fix what he had said because Loki had waltzed over to you, grinning, claiming that you were going to enjoy the gifts that were brought to you and that you had to go with him immediately to greet some people that you must know. Wrapping an arm around you, Loki turned back to glare at Logan before disappearing into the crowds with his sister.

'Why do I have to be such a jerk sometimes?' he thought as he got another drink from a passing waiter. 'Why is she making me feel this way? Is this what the ruthless, mighty Wolverine has been reduced to? A love-struck, pathetic, school boy who feels bad for himself?'

But he didn't leave. Not until he saw you again, after about two hours of you talking to random strangers who wished you the best on your special day. You had gone to get a drink, suddenly feeling very exhausted from being paraded around when you bumped into Logan at the bar.

"Happy Birthday." He had said, rather awkwardly as if he wasn't acting like he normally would but he was trying to please you.

A dazzling regal smile was sent his way by you. "Thank you, Logan."

He stayed silent for a while, thinking carefully about his words before he spoke them. He had not only received a very detailed threat from Loki, explicitly saying how he was going to be murdered if his sister was hurt in any way but he didn't want you hurt you, period. It wasn't easy for him to admit what he felt, it wasn't even easy for him to understand what he felt but he was trying and you saw that. You weren't demanding of anything. You knew he was doing everything to the best of his ability and that is what counts.

"They're positive, bub. Now, I don't know what you did to get in my head the way you did but what you just described...I feel the same way. I knew you were close and I couldn't stop myself from coming to you. When those damned robots attacked the town you and the other guys were in, I couldn't stop myself from going to help you even though I know you can hold your own in a fight. It's weird. I've never really felt anything like this before but...I'll give it a try if you will." He said, carefully watching your expression for any negative effects.

You only looked up at him with a breathtaking grin on your face. You knew that he wasn't the type of man to go after you for your throne. You knew that he wasn't going to harm you because he was just as cautious as you were. He had not only saved your life in battle but was doing something that he normally wouldn't do because he wanted to be with you.

"I would be honored to be at your side."

He smiled before carefully raising a hand to your face, caressing your cheek. He slowly leaned forward and kissed your forehead. When he looked back down to your beautiful (eye color) eyes, he smiled a bit more seeing how they shined.

He didn't know how this was going to turn out but he was willing to give it a chance just as much as she was willing to put up with him.

"Hopefully you won't regret that choice."

"How can I regret choosing something that I have wanted for some time now."

"So you want me, Princess? You could have just said so." He smirked.

You looked down to your hands where you were holding you crown of flowers and tried to hide your blush; failing miserable. He took the crown from your hands and placed it on top of your head before smiling down at you.

An uncertain future awaited you but you were going to face it fearlessly if he, if Logan, was at your side.

Extended Ending:

As soon as Logan found out that you hadn't eaten a cheeseburger, he immediately took you to (your choice of fast food restaurant) to try out his favorite burger. You found yourself sitting inside his truck, a bag of food sitting in between you and you found yourself enjoying this 'cheeseburger and fries'. It was a very delectable Midgardian meal.

"So, your sure your brothers won't freak out?" He asked as he took drank from a bottle of beer he had.

"I never said I was sure. But hopefully they won't."

"Great." He said as he looked at you and suddenly felt like smiling. "You won't let them kill me right?"

"Perhaps that may be amusing to watch." You joked.

"Thanks for reassuring me, bub."

"You are welcome."

This is a little One-Shot I decided to write because I am completely in love with Wolverine X Reader inserts but there aren't a lot out there. So hopefully, they will increase in numbers so I can read them all!

Thank you for reading, my lovely~ :happybounce: :excited: Rainbow Bounce + PLZ Trampoline fun  revamp Hamburger Bounce
